After months of eager speculation and passionate fan theories, Netflix has finally dropped the anchor — One Piece Season Two is officially on its way. That’s right, the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved series is returning, and fans across the UK are already dusting off their straw hats in celebration.

A Treasure Worth Finding
When Netflix launched Season One in August 2023, many fans were sceptical. Live-action anime adaptations don’t have the best track record, but One Piece turned the tide. With Iñaki Godoy’s infectious portrayal of Monkey D. Luffy, stunning visuals, and heartfelt storytelling, the series quickly climbed global streaming charts.
In the UK, it became a surprise hit, even drawing in viewers who had never touched an anime episode. From cosplay gatherings at Camden Market to One Piece-themed bubble tea specials in Soho, London’s anime community embraced it with open arms.
What to Expect from Season 2
While Netflix hasn’t confirmed a release date yet, production is already underway. Here’s what we know so far:

New Crew Members Incoming
The showrunners have hinted at the introduction of fan-favourite characters, including Tony Tony Chopper, the reindeer doctor with a heart of gold (and a mean right hook).
Bigger Adventures Ahead
Rumours point towards the Alabasta arc, one of the most iconic storylines in the series. That means desert kingdoms, secret organisations, and maybe even a certain sand-logged villain.
Returning Cast
Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), and the rest of the crew are all set to return. Expect deeper character development and even more epic battles.
